Pro-Trump prophets suggest Hurricanes Helene and Milton are “spiritual” and that “God did say in the prophecies that these storms would be sent to interrupt the flow of our election process”
As Christian nationalism has gained influence in the Republican Party, right-wing Christian TV network the Victory Channel’s FlashPoint has emerged as a friendly show for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and other prominent GOP officials and candidates to spread misinformation. Christian nationalist host Gene Bailey has repeatedly interviewed Trump, including last month. The right-wing program regularly features pro-Trump “prophets,” such as Lance Wallnau and Hank Kunneman, who have warned of “spiritual war” and claimed weather and natural disasters are connected to biblical prophecy. Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance recently drew headlines for attending a town hall organized by Wallnau’s show.
